Jenrick ‘referred to as the whole lot from a vigilante to Batman’ after confronting fare dodgers

The shadow justice secretary has advised Sky News that he desires authorities to "take action" after he launched a video earlier this week of himself apprehending fare dodgers at Stratford station.

When requested by Sky’s Trevor Phillips concerning the video, which he posted on social media, Mr Jenrick mentioned: "I’ve been called everything from a vigilante to Batman in the last few days."

He added that he was "fed up" with folks not paying to make use of public transport, and requested: "Why are we paying when other people are getting away with it?"
