Former Donald Trump adviser John Bolton says the US president’s feedback about being "p***ed off" by Vladimir Putin don’t imply a souring in relations between the 2 males.
Trump stated he was offended the Russian chief had criticised Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy.
"This is Trump just responding as he responds to many things, ad hoc, episodic, not thinking about what comes next," Mr Bolton stated.
"He doesn’t do strategy, he doesn’t have a philosophy, he doesn’t really do policy in the way we understand it. What he wants is to put the Ukraine war behind him….so he can do other things, like raise tariffs."
