Kemi Badenoch defends report as Tory chief and says Golders Green assault is a ‘nationwide emergency’

Kemi Badenoch has defended her report as chief of the Conservatives and declared the assault in Golders Green a "national emergency".

She informed The Cathy Newman Show: "I used to be in Golders Green simply a few hours in the past, and I can’t inform you how palpable the concern that individuals there have. They are scared, folks saying that being visibly Jewish now’s inconceivable.

"They’re advising their family and their children, their friends, to not look Jewish so they don’t get attacked. It was also quite striking that they do believe that they have to protect themselves."
