Key Republican votes to advance RFK Jr. after ‘intense conversations’ with White House

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination was accepted by the Senate Finance Committee this morning, 14-13. The nomination now advances to the Senate ground. This was a celebration line vote. There has been some hypothesis that GOP Sen. Bill Cassidy would vote towards advancing Kennedy’s nomination; Cassidy is a physician who has expressed issues with Kennedy’s views on vaccines. However, Cassidy ended up voting together with his Republican colleagues. #CNN #News
