Plaid Cymru have received the by-election within the Senedd seat of Caerphilly for the primary time.
The Welsh nationalist celebration secured 15,960 votes – and candidate Lindsay Whittle cried because the outcome was introduced.
Mr Whittle is 72 years outdated and had stood as a Plaid candidate 13 instances since 1983. He will now maintain the seat till the Senedd elections subsequent 12 months.
This by-election was extensively considered a two-horse race between Plaid Cymru and Reform UK, and the outcome marks a substantial blow for Nigel Farage.
