Labour MPs and different members of WhatsApp group might be suspended after Gwynne sacking, govt says

Labour will punish every other MP or minister caught up within the Andrew Gwynne WhatsApp group scandal, housing minister Matthew Pennycook has informed Sky News.

It comes after the well being minister was sacked over a critical of leaked feedback.

Mr Pennycook stated: "I do not know, personally, what different folks on that WhatsApp dialog have stated… I’ve being very clear, there’s an investigation going down into the entire incident.

"What the public can take from the way the prime minister has acted decisively in this case to dismiss Andrew Gwynne is that if any other Labour MP or minister falls short he will act to uphold the highest standards in public office."
