Levees are failing in western Washington as days of relentless rain from a number of atmospheric rivers causes rivers to swell to dangerously excessive ranges. Emergency crews are working to strengthen failed levees as flooding spreads, evacuations are ordered, and officers warn situations might proceed to worsen.
