The Liberal Democrats have stated they "cannot accept a mandatory digital ID where people are forced to turnover their private data just to go about their daily lives."
The proposals are the federal government’s newest bid to deal with unlawful immigration, with the brand new ID being a type of proof of a citizen’s proper to reside and work within the UK.
