A person wielding a chainsaw inside a senior-living facility in St. Charles, Illinois, was shot and killed by police early Sunday, authorities mentioned.
The man was allegedly "confronting residents with the chainsaw" when police arrived. Officers sought to deescalate the scenario, however "the suspect continued his attempts to use the chainsaw against residents of the building," in addition to towards responding officers, based on police.
