Manchester Airport has warned passengers of delays after briefly closing its runways attributable to "significant levels of snow".
It comes as giant swathes of the nation cope with disruption brought on by the freezing climate, with the South West and south of England significantly affected by heavy snow.
In a press release on Thursday morning, the airport mentioned: "Our runways are temporarily closed due to significant levels of snow, as our teams work hard to clear them as quickly as possible"
