Venezuela’s opposition chief Maria Corina Machado has gained the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.
The announcement comes after US President Donald Trump had campaigned to win the award.
The committee’s chairman stated Machado meets "all the criteria" laid out by Alfred Nobel for the prize.
