Mayo Clinic Minute: Preventing pediatric falls
May is National Trauma Awareness Month. It’s a time to unfold consciousness about harm prevention and trauma.
Falls are the No. 1 reason for nonfatal accidents amongst kids as much as 14 years outdated within the U.S., in keeping with the National Institutes of Health. Many of those pediatric falls occur at house or on the playground.
Tom Halada, a Mayo Clinic registered nurse and pediatric trauma coordinator, says a few of these accidents will be prevented.
