The medical knowledge of half one million volunteers to Biobank, the UK’s well being info database, has been supplied on the market on-line, the federal government has stated.
Technology minister Ian Murray informed the Commons, the charity had informed the federal government the information "had been advertised for sale by several sellers on Alibaba’s ecommerce platforms in China".
He added the charity had stated the information "did not contain participants, names, addresses, contact details or telephone numbers".
