Michael Gove has backed Rishi Sunak after the prime minister directed a trans jibe at Sir Keir Starmer throughout Prime Minister’s Questions.
The incident occurred whereas the mom of murdered transgender woman Brianna Ghey was in parliament.
Asked if the PM ought to replicate on that, as advised by Commons chief Penny Mordaunt, the levelling up secretary mentioned: "No. I feel that the prime minister was extra possible drawing consideration to the truth that Keir Starmer has U-turned 60 instances.
"I think that the prime minister was absolutely right to draw attention to that."
