Minister insists ‘we do have cash to spend’ regardless of £22bn ‘black gap’

Science Secretary Peter Kyle has insisted the federal government does "have money to spend" regardless of a £22bn "black hole" in public funds.

He mentioned: "I mean, government does have money to spend. It’s how you actually invest."

When requested why Labour is so involved concerning the £22bn black gap, he added: "Because what you have to do is two simultaneous things. We have to fix the damage left that was inherited by the previous government, that awful £22bn black hole. But we also need to get the economy growing."
