Minister insists winter gasoline cost cuts won’t be ‘watered down’

Housing minister Matthew Pennycook has insisted that plans to means take a look at winter gasoline funds won’t be watered down after 53 Labour MPs didn’t vote on the movement.

Asked whether or not Labour will change the proposal within the wake of this, Mr Pennycook instructed Sky News: "We’re not going to water down that policy, we think it’s the right decision to make."

He added: "It’s a decision we took with a heavy heart, we never expected to do it."
