The new UK ambassador to the US, Lord Mandelson, brought about a little bit of a stir when he appeared to contradict authorities coverage by saying Ukraine "should be the first to commit to a ceasefire and defy the Russians to follow".
Sky’s Wilfred Frost requested Defence Minister Luke Pollard about Mandelson’s feedback, and he replied: "That’s not government policy."
