MPs are to debate assisted dying after an internet petition, backed by the journalist and campaigner Dame Esther Rantzen, gained 200,000 signatures.
Many against a change within the legislation have voiced issues that legalising assisted dying might put stress on weak individuals to finish their lives for worry of being a burden on others.
