Laila Soueif has been on starvation strike for 2 months in protest at inaction by the British Government over her son, Alaa Abd-El Fattah, has been in jail in Egypt since 2019 for accusations of spreading pretend information, which she describes as "a completely unfair sentence".
She says she’s "had enough" of "running around prisons", and emphases that British authorities have to assist get her son out.
Ms Souife will meet Foreign Secretary David Lammy, who has given been giving "reassurances that this is a top priority", however she says she "expected something different from Mr Lammy" after the help he gave the case when he was within the shadow cupboard.
