Renowned NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his spouse Cristina Gusso and two youngsters—Ryder, 5, and Emma, 14—died on Dec. 18 when a personal airplane they had been in crashed in Statesville, North Carolina. Congressman Richard Hudson confirmed the information on X, writing, “I am devastated by the loss of Greg, Cristina, and their children, and my heart is with all who loved them. They were friends who lived their lives focused on helping others.” He added, “Our prayers are with their family, friends, and everyone grieving this unimaginable loss.” The Federal Aviation Administration, who confirmed the crash to NBC affiliate WCNC, continues to be investigating the precise trigger.
