National prostate most cancers screening programme would ‘trigger extra hurt than good’
Government advisers have confirmed that they aren’t recommending a nationwide NHS screening programme for prostate most cancers.
In a draft suggestion, the UK National Screening Committee (UKNSC) mentioned screening "is likely to cause more harm than good".
Professor Sir Mike Richards, chair of the nationwide screening committee, defined the choice to Sky’s Thomas Moore.
