Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dissolved his internal battle cupboard in a transfer seen as "inevitable".
It follows the resignation of Benny Gantz final week after Mr Netanyahu missed a deadline to current a day-after plan for the battle in Gaza.
Israel has been at battle with Hamas in Gaza since 7 October, when the militant group carried out a bloodbath in southern Israel which noticed 1,200 folks killed and 250 hostages taken.
About 120 hostages stay in Gaza, with 43 pronounced useless.
More than 36,000 Palestinians have been killed since 7 October, in line with the enclave’s Hamas-run well being ministry.
