Newly launched audio reveals the second an off-duty pilot tried to close off engines on an Alaska Airlines flight in 2023. The flight crew was capable of subdue Joseph Emerson – a former Alaska Airlines pilot who later stated he had a nervous breakdown – and made a protected emergency touchdown.
