A brand new lawsuit filed in Washington, DC’s federal court docket challenges the Kennedy Center board of trustees’ transfer so as to add President Donald Trump’s title to the cultural establishment.
Rep. Joyce Beatty, an Ohio Democrat and an ex-officio trustee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, is bringing the lawsuit. She alleges a latest vote by the Center’s board of trustees so as to add Trump’s title went past the authority given to the board by Congress.
