New US lawyer provides plea deal to convicted LA deputy

Trump’s newly-appointed interim US lawyer in Los Angeles provided a post-trial plea deal to a former sheriff’s deputy, Trevor Kirk, who was convicted of utilizing extreme pressure on a Black lady throughout a shoplifting investigation. The plea deal would change the felony conviction to a misdemeanor and will cut back the potential 10-year sentence down to 1.
