New water regulator might be ‘shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic’, says Tory frontbencher

Kevin Hollinrake has defended the previous authorities’s document in tackling water air pollution.

He advised Trevor Phillips the powers the Conservatives gave regulator OFWAT had been "very effective".

Earlier, the Environment Secretary Steve Reed stated the extent of air pollution in rivers was a "scandal" and the water trade was "absolutely broken".
