James Murray has denied that Diane Abbott has been suspended as a result of senior figures ‘need her out’.
The Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury spoke to Sky News after the veteran MP mentioned that she believes she has misplaced the Labour whip as a result of "this Labour leadership wants me out".
Murray mentioned, "What’s happened is that she’s made these comments, and she’s been administratively suspended because that is the process the Labour Party has and for all MPs when they’re suspended."
