Nottingham triple killer’s ‘unduly lenient’ sentence to be referred to Court of Appeal

The sentence of the Nottingham attacker who stabbed two college students and a caretaker to loss of life can be referred to the Court of Appeal after the lawyer common discovered it to be "unduly lenient".

Valdo Calocane was final month given an indefinite order to be detained at a high-security hospital for killing Barnaby Webber and Grace O’Malley-Kumar, each 19, and Ian Coates, 65, in June 2023.

The victims’ households criticised the sentence, in addition to authorities who they are saying might have helped stop the tragedy. The kin have now welcomed immediately’s announcement.
