Scotland continues to battle with the very best charge of drug-related deaths in Europe.
Data from National Records of Scotland (NRS) confirmed there have been a complete of 1,172 deaths on account of drug misuse in 2023 – an increase of 121 (12%) on the earlier 12 months.
The report excessive was in 2020, when 1,339 folks died.
