Former President Barack Obama stated the United States is "dangerously close to normalizing behavior" from authorities officers that’s not suitable with liberal democracy, and "consistent with autocracies."
He stated Americans throughout his presidency and because the finish of World War II have taken progress, improvement and the development of society as a right.
"Democracy is not self-executed. It requires people, judges, people in the Justice Department, people throughout the government who take an oath to uphold the Constitution, it requires them to take that oath seriously," Obama stated at a civics occasion in Connecticut with historian Heather Cox Richardson.
