Ofcom launches formal investigation into X over Grok
Ofcom has launched a proper investigation into X’s AI device, Grok, over it getting used to create sexualised imagery of girls and youngsters.
The formal investigation will look into whether or not X, owned by tech titan Elon Musk, has "failed to comply with its legal obligations under the Online Safety Act".
Ministers have made it clear that they might assist Ofcom if it concludes that X ought to be banned within the UK.
