More than 25,000 migrants have arrived within the UK after crossing the Channel thus far this 12 months, Home Office figures present.
The milestone was crossed after 898 folks arrived on Wednesday in 13 boats, in accordance with the most recent information.
This is the earliest level within the 12 months at which the 25,000 mark has been handed since information on Channel crossings was first recorded in 2018. Last 12 months, the 25,000 complete was reached on 22 September.
