More than 25,000 migrants have arrived within the UK after crossing the Channel thus far this yr, Home Office figures present.
The milestone was crossed after 898 individuals arrived on Wednesday in 13 boats, in response to the most recent knowledge.
This is the earliest level within the yr at which the 25,000 mark has been handed since knowledge on Channel crossings was first recorded in 2018. Last yr, the 25,000 complete was reached on 22 September.
