Patel accuses ministers of ‘political interference’ in China spying case

Shadow international secretary Priti Patel has accused the federal government of "political interference" after the collapse of the authorized case in opposition to two British males accused of spying for China.

The authorities mentioned the CPS had dropped the case in opposition to Christopher Cash, 30, a former parliamentary researcher, and trainer Christopher Berry, 33, as a result of the earlier authorities had not designated China a risk to nationwide safety.

Ms Patel mentioned: "That case collapsed successfully as a result of the federal government didn’t give the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) the proof about China being a risk to our nationwide safety.

"And that is fundamentally politically, it’s a political interference in the judicial process."
