PM rejects ‘knee jerk’ response to Trump tariffs as a consequence of hit tomorrow

Sir Keir Starmer has been out for an early go to this morning to mark the rise within the minimal wage.

But with Donald Trump’s world import tariffs as a consequence of hit tomorrow, there are fears the financial system may very well be badly impacted.

Speaking to Sky News’ political editor Beth Rigby, the prime minister stated: "I do not suppose anyone desires to see tariffs.

We’re working exhausting on an financial deal which we have made fast progress on, and I hope we are able to make actually speedy resolutions on."
