PM says Donald Trump does need lasting peace in Ukraine
Sir Keir Starmer says he is satisfied Donald Trump "does want lasting peace" in Ukraine, regardless of pausing help to the war-torn nation.
The prime minister stated we should put Ukraine "in the strongest possible position" for peace talks, or to battle on if needed, including that he desires the US, Kyiv, and Europe "on the same page".
"We’ve preserved the peace for 80 years by working with both the US and Europe, and now is not the time to break that," he instructed Sky’s People and Politics Correspondent Nick Martin.
