Poland and South Korea have made arrangements to conduct collaborative military drills in Poland in the near future.

Poland and South Korea have announced their intention to conduct joint military drills in Poland in the near future. The purpose of these exercises is to demonstrate the efficiency of Korean equipment within the Polish armed forces, as stated by the defense ministers of both nations on Thursday.

Poland’s Minister of Defense, Mariusz Blaszczak, and South Korea’s Minister of Defense, Lee Jong-Sup, engaged in discussions in Warsaw regarding security measures and assistance for Ukraine in countering Russia’s aggressive actions. They also explored opportunities for enhanced collaboration in the field of armaments.

Blaszczak mentioned that Poland’s military is planning to conduct a collaborative training session named Autumn Fire, utilizing newly acquired armaments from South Korea. Additionally, efforts are underway to enable the production of certain Korean-made equipment within Poland.

Due to increasing concerns over the war in neighboring Ukraine, Poland is investing billions of dollars in acquiring weapons and military equipment from South Korea to enhance its defense capabilities.

Poland has provided Ukraine with assistance to defend itself against the Russian invasion, and now the new equipment is replacing the previous aid.

Poland has acquired various military assets from South Korea, such as K2 tanks, Thunder K9 howitzers, FA-50 fighter jets for training and combat, and K239 Chunmoo rocket artillery systems.
