Thousands of protesters have breached barricades round Islamabad, clashing with police who fired tear gasoline to disperse the crowds and block their advance. Imran Khan, former Prime Minister of Pakistan, has known as on his supporters to "fight to the end" in opposition to what he describes as a "mafia" imposed on the nation. The protests, led by Khan’s political occasion, accuse the federal government of holding him on politically motivated fees.
