Policing minister Chris Philp says he desires to see a "substantial increase in the use of stop and search".
He famous that using cease and search in London has decreased lately, and he desires officers to have "the confidence to use it where there are reasonable grounds".
"Stop and search takes knives off the streets," he insisted. "It can save lives. And that’s why it’s so important that power is used."
