The favorite to win Romania’s controversial presidential election has launched a rare collection of assaults in an unique interview with Sky News, lower than a day after the election was cancelled.
Calin Georgescu, the populist politician who rose from obscurity to the brink of victory, mentioned he had been the sufferer of a "coup d’etat" that had uncovered "the corrupted regime" of his nation.
He mentioned the courtroom that had cancelled the election, pointing to the impression of an alleged Russian interference marketing campaign, was "a dictatorship" designed to guard "the oligarch system that wants to protect what it has stolen".
