Pope Leo XIV: Why it is vital he is the primary American pope

Pope Leo XIV is the primary North American to steer the Catholic Church. But he was not thought of to be within the prime 10 doubtless candidates to succeed Pope Francis, partially as a result of his nationality.  

There had been an assumption that an American pope would imply an excessive amount of energy concentrated on the earth’s most dominant superpower.
