Prince William opened up about the emotional challenges of fatherhood in a rare and vulnerable new interview. Appearing on the Feb. 18 episode of BBC Radio 1’s Life Hacks for a special panel on male suicide and mental health, the Prince of Wales reflected on his own experiences, admitting that he is “not immune to bad days.” A longtime advocate for ending the stigma round psychological well being, William defined that he usually takes time to know his personal feelings, saying, “I take a long time trying to understand my emotions and why I feel like I do… To check in with yourself and work out why you’re feeling like you do. Sometimes there is an obvious explanation, sometimes there isn’t.” The prince additionally shared a candy glimpse into life together with his three kids, noting that they discuss their emotions “sometimes too much,” joking that he will get each element — and loves it.
