Protesters arrested at Trump Tower sit-in for detained activist Mahmoud Khalil

At least 98 folks had been arrested Thursday at a protest within the foyer of Trump Tower in Manhattan that referred to as for the fast launch of Mahmoud Khalil — the pro-Palestinian activist and inexperienced card holder arrested by ICE brokers this week.

The protesters, who had been representing the group Jewish Voice for Peace, are going through costs of trespass and resisting arrest, based on NYPD.

Khalil, who has not been charged with a criminal offense, is at present being held in Louisiana. The Trump administration has alleged that Khalil — who was a frontrunner of the pro-Palestinian encampment protests on Columbia’s campus — was a supporter of Hamas. Attorneys for Khalil have referred to as his alleged alignment with Hamas "false and preposterous."
