Rapidly rising wildfire prompts hundreds of evacuations in California
A wildfire within the mountains north of Los Angeles continues to burn after it tore by means of hundreds of acres and compelled evacuations after igniting Thursday afternoon. It’s certainly one of a number of notable fires within the West which have exhibited explosive progress in latest weeks, spurred by searing warmth and dry, gusty wind.
The Canyon Fire began round 1:30 p.m. PT on Thursday and had burned by means of greater than 5,300 acres of land by Friday night, in response to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
