Reform UK’s Richard Tice clashes with Sophy Ridge over James McMurdock’s assault conviction
Reform UK’s deputy chief Richard Tice insists James McMurdock’s election is a "story of redemption" after it emerged the Basildon MP kicked a girlfriend.
Court information seen by The Times confirmed James McMurdock kicked his girlfriend on the time "around four times" throughout an assault in 2006 when he was 20 years previous
He was sentenced to 21 days in a younger offenders’ institute.
But it isn’t clear if he instructed Reform UK bosses that he kicked his accomplice earlier than he was chosen as a candidate for the occasion.
