Refugee Council blames Conservative authorities for asylum inns scenario
A choice by the earlier authorities to delay processing asylum claims is behind the choice to accommodate giant numbers of migrants in inns, the Refugee Council has advised Sky News.
Imran Hussain, director of exterior affairs on the council, stated the Conservatives had stopped making choices as a result of they wished to ship asylum seekers to Rwanda whereas claims have been processed, a coverage that he claimed had now created the backlog.
A court docket dominated on Monday that migrants needs to be faraway from a lodge in Epping, Essex – different councils at the moment are prone to lodge appeals.
"This is a failure of public policy to process claims," he stated.
"Nobody thinks asylum seekers needs to be stored in inns whereas their circumstances are being processed.
"It’s very expensive, it’s an isolating experience…. and of course for local communities there’s a lot of tension, some of which is being exploited by the far-right."
