Regina King opened up a couple of private connection between her late son, Ian Alexander Jr., and the daughters of former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama. During an emotional look on Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson’s ‘IMO’ podcast, the Oscar-winning actress tearfully thanked Malia and Sasha Obama for his or her friendship along with her son. The Oscar winner revealed that she didn’t initially notice the bond her son had fashioned with the previous First Daughters. She recalled a second when Ian casually talked about cooking dinner for “some girl named Sasha,” not understanding it was Sasha Obama. Since Ian’s loss of life in 2022, Regina has been discovering methods to maintain his spirit alive. One of these methods is thru a brand new wine label, MianU, which Regina stated is devoted to celebrating Ian’s "deep love for art, flavor, and the people around him."
