Russia say they don’t seem to be inquisitive about British underwater communications | Michael Clarke evaluation

A warning from the defence secretary {that a} Russian spy ship is on the sting of UK waters.

John Healey mentioned it is the second time this 12 months Moscow has deployed the vessel near Britain — and that crew members on the ship had directed lasers at RAF pilots to distract them.

The Russian embassy within the UK responded saying it is a analysis vessel and Russia shouldn’t be inquisitive about British underwater communications.

Sky’s Michael Clarke says the difficulty with the vessel is that it hovers over cables and pipelines. "It’s always hanging around the areas that we know is sensitive" he says.

He provides: "The Russians can say it’s hysteria but you’ve only got to look at the tracking of this vessel".
