Sky’s National Correspondent Tom Parmenter has been surveying the North Sea collision from the air.
The Portuguese-flagged Solong and the US-registered Stena Immaculate tanker caught fireplace after colliding off the coast of East Yorkshire.
A lacking sailor is presumed lifeless.
The coastguard has confirmed the container vessel stays on fireplace, with suspicions it is going to ultimately sink.
