American flight 1665, working on an Airbus A321, was heading to Charlotte Douglas International Airport at 8:20 a.m. native time when it needed to return to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, based on the Federal Aviation Administration’s preliminary assertion. No accidents have been reported, a spokesperson for the airport advised CNN. There have been 153 passengers on the flight, the spokesperson stated. The FAA is investigating.
